Glenlo Abbey Hotel Weddings
Nik and Rita made the journey from the UK to Ireland to celebrate their big day!!
Nik’s preparations took place in Glenlo Abbey Hotel (also their wedding reception venue)on wedding morning and I enjoyed the fun and banter with her and her bridesmaids….they were up for a laugh, and indeed making sure the hydrated very well….we even made a journey to the dungeon bar in the hotel en route to the wedding ceremony!!
Wedding Ceremony Garrison Church Renmore Galway
Nik & Rita used the Garrison Church in Renmore for their wedding ceremony. Love shooting weddings there….and of course being from Renmore in Galway, I love any opportunity that brings me back home! The church looked amazing and well done to Ailbhe Hession who was responsible for the awesome music too.
Wedding Photos in the Quad in NUIG
It was unfortunate that it was such a wet day and we decided to use the shelter of the Quad in NUIG for wedding photos with the bridal party after the ceremony. The Quad is a super “go to” place for wedding photography….you ensure that the bride and groom can remain dry under the sheltered Cloisters as well as providing excellent wind protection…ensuring the brides hair remains in great shape for the wedding reception!!!
Wedding Reception Glenlo Abbey Hotel
After our bridal shoot, we returned to Glenlo Abbey where Rita and Nik had ample time to chill out among their family and friends before their wedding reception. The grounds of Glenlo are superb for wedding photography, but we were lucky to have our photos captured in the Quad…the terrible weather didn’t allow us the opportunity to show them off.
The evening was very entertaining and Rita & Nik had a lot of entertainment lined up for their wedding guests…the singing waiter was a big hit for example!!
Really enjoyed your wedding day guys and I wish you both the very best for the future!!
