Rosaleen and Shane were married on one of the few majestic sunny days we had this summer in the beautiful Callow Church Swinford, followed by a reception in the Belleek Castle in Ballina Co Mayo.

Rosaleen was not just one of the prettiest brides I’ve photographed, she was also one of the nicest people you could spend time with on a wedding day. From the moment I arrived in her home, her extremely polite personality was evident….ensuring everyone around her was okay and not wanting for anything…and spent the whole day in this vain…such a lady.

My good buddy John Murphy of Avalon Video was looking after Rosaleen and Shane’s video requirements and after our visit to Rosaleen’s home in Gortjordan, we made the spin to Callow just outside of Foxford.

Shane and his groomsmen Brian, Rory and Niall were at hand to capture a few images before Rosaleen arrived very promptly in a classic Old Ford Car supplied by the gentleman that is Cathal Keane.

Wedding Reception Belleek Castle

After the ceremomy we made the spin to Belleek Castle and thanks so much to Bridesmaids Marie, Ruth and Sorcha for their time and energy along with the groomsmen…we availed of the entrance to the Castle as well as the side gardens for some images, a fine spot indeed, in particular when the weather was playing ball with us like it did!
The inside of Belleek is a wonderful spot for photos…..if you were unlucky and had a wet weather wedding, there’s plenty of opportunities to grab some photos inside…plenty of areas where there’s lovely pockets of natural light.
Rosaleen and Shane, thank you for trusting me with your wedding photography….you were both a treat to work with (as were all of your bridal party). I wish you both the very best for the future and please God we’ll cross paths somewhere along the way again!

Some photos of the day are displayed below and a photo slideshow can be viewed at the bottom of the page.
