Cloonacauneen Castle Wedding
Elaine and Philip’s wedding took place is Ahascaragh Co Galway…a lovely town in east Galway followed by a wedding reception in Cloonacauneen Castle on the outskirts of Galway City.
Elaine is a beautiful caring lady and a person whose company I thoroughly enjoyed on her wedding day. I met her with her then Fiancé Philip (now husband) a couple of weeks before their big day when we had a chat about how their day may pan out. As soon as we started chatting, I sensed from their positive attitude that it would be an enjoyable wedding day (…which it truly was) and really looked forward to it. Philip mentioned that he wasn’t massively into photography, or indeed having his photograph taken….on occasion this can stress me out as I’m wondering will a couple allow me the time required to get some photos, but Philip was a gentleman and knew what would be required…..and fair play to him, he more then played ball with me regarding their photos on wedding day and I’m grateful for this!
Wedding Ceremony Ahascaragh Co Galway
Elaine and Philip were surrounded by positive people on their day…..bridesmaids Caroline, Irene, Roisín and Mary were super to work with as well as groomsmen Padraig, Declan, Damian and Larry…..all good people invested in helping the bride and groom get the most from their day.
After the ceremony in Ahascaragh, we made a small detour to Ballyglunin train station…..indeed a location that was used and made famous in the film “The Quite Man” starring John Wayne and Maureen O’Hara and was a cool spot for some photos. I really enjoyed the craic and banter with Elaine and Philip, and fair play to Philip for being the gentleman with regards to the images….truly appreciate it chief!
Wedding reception Cloonacauneen Castle Galway
Our final port of call was the charming Cloonacauneen Castle for a reception that took place in bright summer sunshine….something that didn’t look likely at the start of the day! There was plenty of GAA on tv on wedding day and the bar was a popular spot where guests took in the game and indeed the banter between guests regarding same was entertaining and comical.
Elaine and Philip, your two good people and I’m privileged to have photographed your wedding day…thank you for trusting me with same and please God we’ll cross paths in the near future again…..until then, mind yourselves!
