Clayton Hotel Wedding Galway
Laura and Mark were married on a pretty wet September’s day recently….and even though it was a damp one, it was an enjoyable one where they both were happy out and had excellent wedding providers looking after them on their big day!
Laura’s preparations took place in Galway city and bridesmaids Josie, Maura, Emma and Karen were being beautified by both Natalie O’Brien and Caroline Coyne when I arrived. The girls were happy out and although the weather was getting more and more ominous looking as they were getting ready, their attitudes remained exceptionally positive and jovial. I had met up with Laura and Mark a couple of days prior to the wedding for a chat and I was extremely happy after meeting them……a man on a bike could feel their genuine and sincere nature and I was delighted that it was no different on wedding day…totally comfortable chatting with Laura on wedding morning and looking forward to the day ahead of us.
The journey to the church was a pretty short one and fair play to Alan Brennan of Wedding Car Galway and Paul O’Kennedy for getting the girls to the church promptly!
Wedding Ceremony St Joseph’s Church Galway
The ceremony took place at 1.30pm….a small bit later than the average wedding and this can put the photography side of things under pressure as you want to get the bridal party and their families back to the Hotel as quickly as possible so that can enjoy their wedding with family and friends…..arriving back at a hotel earlier allows you this time, but fair play to everyone for being clued in time wise and this wasn’t an issue on Laura and Mark’s day.
Wedding Photos in the Quad NUIG
After the ceremony, we used the comforts of the church for the family portraits and some bridal shots before making the short journey to the Quad where we had shelter form the elements! Again, fair play to Alan Brennan for ensuring Laura and Mark stayed as dry as they possibly could during this period….and indeed for being a photographers assistance to me too!
As i mentioned earlier, the weather wasn’t the best but Laura and Mark were exceptionally helpful and co-operative with regards to the photo shoot. I was totally comfortable in their company….and they were totally happy out in each others company which meant more relaxed and genuine photography in my opinion! Really appreciated your efforts here lads and so grateful for your positive attitudes!
Wedding Reception in the Clayton Hotel Galway
Our final stop was the excellent wedding venue the Clayton Hotel….a super venue where the wedding team their (Karina and John) are as good as you’ll get……..Karina in particular totally devotes herself to those that she works with on wedding days….all you have to do is look at the testimonials that she receives to see what a solid lady she is!!
Thanks so much Laura and Mark for trusting mew with your wedding photography. Enjoyed your wedding day from start to finish and appreciate you trusting me with your photography side of things. Wishing you both the very best and please God we’ll cross paths in the future again.
