Rosie and Daniel were married on a glorious day in the Galway Bay Hotel Salthill….the same weekend in actual fact when Ed Sheeran hit town and there was a great buzz around Galway and indeed Salthill in particular.

Wedding morning in the Galway Bay Hotel

Rosie’s preparations took place onsite in the Galway Bay Hotel…and we had a fantastic room overlooking the magnificent sun splashed Galway Bay! The brilliant Niamh and Siobhán from the Hair and Make Up Fairies were looking after Rosie’s need as well as that of her bridesmaids Nicola, Collette and Phil on wedding morning. It was hard not to be in good form with the fine weather and indeed the carnival atmosphere in Salthill.
I headed downstairs while Rosie was hopping into her dress and had a look at the function room… looked truly amazing and well done to Samantha and Louise from Seamus Florist Sundries for having the place looking pretty awesome!
Daniel was chilling out with his groomsmen in the hotel gardens and accompanied by his groomsmen Matthew, Stephen and James and little James was keeping an eye on them in his role as “little Groomsman”! Thanks to the lads for their co-operation just before the ceremony…very accommodating with regards to their wedding photography…and all under the watchful eye of the bridesmaids who were peeping out the windows at us from above!
I was delighted to bump into wedding celebrant Pat Mangan….. a man I hadn’t cross paths with in quite some time! Pat’s a gentleman and a team player on wedding days…..a good person to be around!

Spiritual Ceremony Galway Bay Hotel

I loved the Spiritual ceremony that Rosie and Daniel had….and in particular the personal vows that they exchanged. It was quite an emotional part of the ceremony…not just for Daniel and Rosie but for a lot of their guests too (…and their photographer)!! Strong powerful and meaningful words that tugged on a lot of heart strings.
After the ceremony we made the very short trip tot he gardens next door for some bridal portraits before nipping across to the Prom to get some of that fresh sea air before returning to Stephen and his team in the Galway Bay for a lively reception. With the weather being so lovely on Rosie and Daniel’s wedding day, all of the guests enjoyed the reception in the open air deck of the hotel overlooking the prom and Galway Bay….a majestic setting which would lead you to think you were experiencing a destination wedding somewhere in the Mediterranean.
Thanks Rosie and Daniel for trusting me with your wedding photography and indeed for simply being lovely people to be around on a wedding day!
