The Lodge At Ashford Wedding
Aline and Joe experienced a Lodge At Ashford Wedding at the end of May in the majestic village of Cong Co Mayo. For anyone who hasn’t been to Cong….go visit the place, especially during the summer months when everything is in bloom, it truly is a majestic spot. I was delighted for Aline and Joe that they got the weather to show it all off.
Wedding morning in Cong Mayo
Aline’s preparations took place less than a hundred yards from the church in an apartment in Cong Village which allowed her the opportunity to walk to the church….something that you don’t see all too often.
Joe is an Athenry lad, and Aline is a beautiful South American girl…really enjoyed the day and had to be careful not to talk too quickly so Aline could understand the Galway lingo as best she could!
Aline’s bridesmaids were Rosemary, Pamela and Cairin and I can safely say that I never saw bridesmaids involved in as many selfies as these guys…they were dynamite!
The superb Geraldine Haire from Ardilaun Creations was responsible for the wedding flowers and they were truly stunning (but you couldn’t expect anything else….top drawer wedding provider)!
Wedding Photos in Cong
After the lovely ceremony in Cong Church, we took a stroll with the bridal party down to the monks house at the rear of the church and did some photography with the bridal party before Aline and Joe headed off to Ashford Castle by themselves for a couple more.
Wedding Reception the Lodge At Ashford
The Lodge at Ashford is only two minutes from Ashford Castle and we headed back there for some pretty cool celebrations….everyone was outside drinking refreshments and taking in the gorgeous views of the Corrib….a view which magically dominates the Lawns of the Hotel and being able to take it all in with drinks in hand…well, it was simply lovely for their guests!
Thank you Joe and Aline for being two lovely genuine laid back people…I thoroughly enjoyed your company and I wish you both the very best in the future…mind yourselves!!
