Tracey & Micheál’s wedding took place in St Mary’s Church in Westport followed by a reception in the Castlecourt Hotel.

Great weather, great wedding hotel, great suppliers and last but not least, a super wedding party made this a very enjoyable day for wedding photography!

I met Tracey a couple of years ago when I covered her sister Linda’s wedding. Tracey got ready in the hotel (Castlecourt) on wedding morning and fair pay to bridesmaids Linda, (..and thanks for letting Tracey have a good nights sleep!!), Alexandra and Helaine for being in good spirits and help wedding day get off to a good start. Tracey herself was in good form….indeed feeding off the positive energy that was all around her on wedding morning. Alicia and Ella were the two lovely girls …so well behaved on wedding morning and they were accompanied on Junior duty by Page Boy Páidí….three super kids!!
John Murphy from Avalon Video was with me on wedding morning and we enjoyed our time here….the banter flowed!

I made the short journey from the hotel to meet to with Micheál and his men at St Mary’s Church in Westport. A very convenient Church for a wedding with most guests using the Hotel Car Park and walking the 200 or so yards to the wedding ceremony….and given the lovely summer weather we were receiving, it was a nice treat for their wedding guests. Micheál was accompanied to the church with his groomsmen Padraig, Niall and John Francis. The lads were also in good form and indeed enjoyed all the good wishes that the people of Westport were extending to them as they awaited ceremony time!
Fair play to Tracey for being punctual and things ran pretty much to time!

When the ceremony was over, we did some family portraits on the church grounds. I’m a big fan of doing this as it frees your family up after the ceremony and they can do what they like back at the hotel.
The Bridal party headed off to a place called Rosbeg which is just outside Westport town and has some lovely views of Croagh Patrick too. I appreciate the good spirits that everyone was in here….really enjoyed our wedding photography time here.
The bridal party then had some “down time” in the Shebeen pub which was close by and “hydrated” again before making out final port of call which was Vinny and the excellent Castlecourt Hotel. I love working there, great team players who continuously excel in the services they they offer “newlyweds”, and they work as a team with all of the wedding suppliers.

Thanks Tracey & Micheál for being two good people and I wish you both the very best in the future!!
