Wedding Ard Ri Hotel, Tuam Co Galway
Tish and PJ were recently married on probably the hottest wedding day I’ve experienced……’twas roastin’!!
I’ve great memories from their day…..two good people who are a treat to be around! The day wasn’t without it’s mishaps on my behalf, but it was the way in which others reacted to same that made it exceptionally enjoyable… more about that later.
Tish’s home is like something from a story book….truly beautiful and decorated with the most majestic of flowers and hanging baskets….like something from a Disney movie! Tish’s mum Mary is the green fingers that can take a bow for same!
Tish was accompanied by her bridesmaids Carmel and Sandra on wedding morning and had the excellent Orla from Magenta Hair Salon looking after all things hair and the lovely Lisa from B-Unique Salon in Mountbellew was looking after the make up. I really enjoyed the chats and banter with everyone on wedding morning indeed the day was off to the most wonderful of starts with everybody ready in plenty of time !
Wedding Ceremony Abbeyknockmoy Co Galway
I made the short spin up the road to the church where I met up with PJ and his groomsmen Stephen and James…..all who were under the watchful eye of Pageboy and ring minder Tommy (who has a pretty nice relationship with flowergirl Olivia…wink wink!!) We grabbed some shots with the lads before taking some respite in the shadows of the church….never remember having to do this at a wedding before…hot weather that we aren’t used too!
As always, it’s a treat to cross paths with Nicola McGuire and David who were looking after all thinks music….two of the very best and we always have good chin wags when we meet up! Nicola and David were using portable fans that the very thoughtful Tish had provided for the church…that’s how warm it was!!
The church in Abbeyknockmoy looked beautiful and Breda Burke from Athenry Flowers was responsible for same.
Wedding Photos Milltown Park
After the ceremony, we availed of the cooler church for the family portraits before making the spin to Milltown for some photos. The roads were in poor shape and melting quite a bit en route…and so much so that I got a puncture en route there….I ending up hitching a lift with Ollie from Costeollo’s of Corofin for the remainder of the journey.
I work with Costeollo’s quite a bit….they are excellent at the service provide…but what makes them stand out is the manner in which they do it….positive and jovial and always putting the newlyweds first! When we arrived in Milltown, the two lads from Costello’s (Mike and Ollie) asked me for my car keys and went a few miles back the road while I was doing the photo shoot to sort out my wheel! I was speechless and stumped and their generosity…but that’s the kinda people they are….helping everyone on a wedding day, with no fuss…thanks so much guys, genuinely humbled by your goodwill!
Wedding Ard Ri Tuam
We enjoyed ourselves in Milltown and availed of all the nature that’s on display there before making the short journey to the Ard Rí House Hotel in Tuam for a wonderful reception!
Tish and PJ’s wedding was a wonderful day among wonderful suppliers…and everyone working for the two wonderful people that are Tish & PJ. I was quite conscious that Tish contacted me in relation to her big day quite some time ago…and wanted a list of available dates from me before booking a venue….I was humbled to find this out…and really wanted her big day to be a good one for them and their families!
Thanks again Tish and PJ and until we cross paths again, mind yourselves!!
