Really enjoyed working with Angela & Colin last September…beautiful day for a wedding and indeed Angela and Colin are fantastic company.
I had previously done an engagement shoot with them in Sligo….truly majestic setting for images with mountains and lakes and really enjoyed our time together that day which would make you enthusiastic about their wedding day.
Angela’s preparations took place in Caherlistrane Co Galway….a stone’s throw from the church on wedding morning which is always hand from a time point of view! Dave Sneddon from All West Videos was looking after the video side of things….really enjoy Dave’s company too and he’s a team player when it come to working alongside him!
Bernadette and Caroline are Angela’s sisters, but also her bridesmaids and I have to thank them for being who they were on wedding day. Supportive and up for a bit of craic….that seemed to be their ethos and it served Angela well on wedding morning. Angela herself is a true lady…..the type of bride that you fell you could discuss anything with, and indeed from out Engagement shoot, it felt like I was photographing a good friends wedding! She was exceptionally positive and seemed to embrace everything that came her way on wedding day… being around someone like that!
When I was finished in Angela’s home, I made the very short spin to the church where I met with Colin and his two groomsmen Jarlath (brother) and Adrian. The were also in good spirits and no nerves on display!
Music was provided by the Brennan Sisters, lovely girls who I seemed to have crossed paths quite a bit with this year. Indeed from a music point of view, there was a very pleasant surprise for all of us on wedding day…..Angela sang a song solo just after holy communion…..and it truly was wonderful! There was a huge round of applause for her for her performance and it truly was wonderful….not simply because she was wearing a wedding dress and singing, but because she has a truly competent singer who delivered the goods with such stlye on wedding day!
After the ceremony, we made our journey to Westport, and Colin And Angela had chosen the grounds of Westport House to take some photos. A lovely spot with some photo opportunities indoors for couples should it rain, but luckily we able to avail of the lovely landscape outside for our shoot too.
Our final journey was to Knockranny where Claire and her team looked the newlyweds exceptionally well as she always does.
Really enjoyed our time together Angela and Colin and delighted that you trusted me with your wedding photography. Please God we’ll cross paths in the near future again and in the mean time, mind each other!!

Some images for the day below and a photo slideshow can be viewed at the bottom of the page!
