Claregalway Hotel Wedding
Annmarie and Paul live in a place that’s nothing short of majestic!
Finny was the venue for the wedding ceremony, and when the weather plays ball with you, there really is no better place! Annmarie.s home is just at the entrance to a beautiful valley, and I was so grateful that this was their preferred choice for some photos after the ceremony.
I thinks it’s always a bonus for a couple to have some kind of emotional attachment to their preferred location for bridal portraits, it gives more substance to the images.
Thanks to Annmarie’s parents Eileen and Peadar for their warm welcome on wedding morning, and indeed to Mary Catherine, Noelle and Lisa for their brilliant assistance in their role of bridesmaids.
The short drive to the church followed and it’s there that I met up with Paul who was ably assisted by David and Michael. Paul’s mum and dad Patrick and Bríd were also there with warm welcomes and it’s no secret that Paul’s mum is Mike Denver’s biggest fan…gas woman! Also met up with my neighbour and good friend John Murphy of Avalon Video….never seems like work when I’m working with him!
After the ceremony, we made the short spin to the valley mentioned earlier and took some bridal portraits before making our journey to the excellent and very busy spot that is the Claregalway Hotel. Nora Gill and her staff really know hot to look after their couples and it’s no surprise to see a hotel that really puts couples first doing well for themselves.
Thanks so much Annmarie and Paul for trusting me with your wedding photos. I think it’s okay to say that Annmarie was emotional when viewing her wedding images for the first time…there was some tears but I think they were happy ones! You were both a pleasure to be around and I appreciate all the advice that you took on board when we met prior to the wedding…it didn’t go out the window and led us to having a great day!
I really enjoyed your company lads and I’ll look forward to meeting in the coming weeks regarding your album….in the mean time, mind yourselves!!
